Deputy Director of the Rossiya TV channel for special informational projects, President of the Bering-Bellingshausen Institute for Both Americas (Montevideo), member of the Praesidium of the Foreign and Defence Policy Council (Moscow), the only Russian journalist to have interviewed both the last two Presidents of the Russian Federation and the USA: Putin and Medvedev, Bush and Obama. Born 24 July 1972 in Havana (Cuba). Graduated from MGIMO MID RF (1995, Moscow), the Montevideo Institute of Foreign Languages (1991, Uruguay), and finished BBC courses (1995, London). Career: 1990–1993: Komsomolskaya Pravda. Trainee, scholarship holder, correspondent-intern in the department of science and education. 1993–1995: Moscow News. International department special correspondent. In parallel, Moscow correspondent of the Uruguay El Observador Económico and the Argentinian La Razón, as well as Russian State Duma Latin America expert. Since 1995: Rossiya (RTR) TV channel, including: 1995–1996: Vesti special correspondent (including during the First Chechen War). 1996–2001: Bureau Chief in London. First broadcast as presenter on 11 September 2001 (day of the terrorist acts in the USA). 2001–2003: presenter of evening Vesti. 2003–2007: presenter of Vesti Nedeli, Deputy Director, Directorate of information programmes. Since 2008: presenter of the Vesti on Saturday programme, Deputy Director of Rossiya TV channel. Author of a multitude of documentary films: Secret of Three Oceans, Constitutional Practice, Duma Thinking, Right to Right, Heavy Oil, Another Coal, The Caribbean Crisis. An Incomprehensible Story, Nazarbayev’s Line, etc. Author of the books: Forgotten Allies in World War II (2012) and Fidel. Football. Falklands (2008). One of the main spheres of his professional activity is interviewing heads of state. In particular, in Latin America: Chavez (Venezuela), Ortega (Nicaragua), Correa (Ecuador), Morales (Bolivia), Sanguinetti (Uruguay), Bachelet (Chile) and so on. By order of the Russian President, awarded the Order of Friendship, the medals 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg and 1000th Anniversary of Kazan (2005). Was the finalist and winner of the TEFI awards many times. Speaks English and Spanish fluently.

Minister for International Business of Grenada

On completion of his studies, Minister Steele returned to Grenada and joined his familybusiness. His leadership led to the company’s growth and expansion. Today this company can boast as being the largest automotive supplier in Grenada. He has a passion for Sports, Arts and Culture and has been a key supporter for many initiatives in whichever Community he finds himself. For over 15 years, his company sponsored the River Road Pan Wizards Steel Orchestra as well as Basketball and Cricket teams. His support assisted many young and socially disadvantaged persons to grow and develop themselves and the Community. In 2004, after the devastation of hurricane Ivan, Minister Steele was recognized for his Leadership and ability to work well with others under tremendous pressure. He was a key volunteer with the National Emergency Relief Organization (NERO now NADMA) and played a significant role in coordinating, mobilizing and distributing relief supplies and assistance to thousands of affected Grenadians suffering in the aftermath of the hurricane.Minister Steele served on a number of Boards including, the Grenada Board of Tourism, the Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Westmorland School and NERO (now NADMA). His various responsibilities led him to be an Organizer and Country Head of the Caribbean Canada Emerging Leaders Organization and coordinated the Royal visit of HRH the Princess Royal. He is also an alumnus of the Commonwealth Leadership Development Conference held in New Delhi in 2007 under the patronage of the Duke of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal. In 2011, Minister Steele entered into Politics under the banner of the New National Party. He offered himself to serve as the electoral representative for the Town of St. George in the 2013 general elections. He was victorious in his bid and is now the Parliamentary Representative for the Town of St. George. As his party was given the mandate to form the Administration, he was invited to serve in the Cabinet of Ministers and given the portfolio of Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Business. Minister Steele is currently a Minister of Health, Social Security & International Business.

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Grenada

The Hon. Peter Charles David is Minister for Foreign Affairs and Labor in Grenada. After the 1999 general elections, he qualified as a barrister-at-law and continued his political career. He has been a member of the House of Representatives from the town of St. Georges and served as the Deputy General Secretary of the New National Party. He was the Minister of Foreign Affairs from July 2008 to November 2010 and subsequently served as Minister of Tourism until April 2012.

On April 6, 2017 Mr. Firer delivered copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov and became the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Grenada to the Russian Federation. Mr. Firer has over 20 years of professional experience in international business. During his professional career, Mr. Firer held senior executive positions in private equity, electronic transaction processing, wireless communications and technology companies. Mr. Firer was recognized by Forbes as one of the 5 Incredible Entrepreneurs and by Business Leader Magazine as a Top Entrepreneur in South Florida, named by Poder Magazine as one of the Most Influential People in Miami and recognized by Inc. Magazine as the founder of the fastest-growing private company in 2012. Mr. Firer is a recipient of the Forty Under 40 Award (Business Journal – January 2017), Executive of the Year Award (Best in Biz Awards – November 2013), Dealmaker of the Year Award (Finance Monthly – January 2014) and Outstanding Leadership Award (Upwardly Global – June 2014). Mr. Firer serves as the CEO and a board member of Net Element and a board/advisory member of various companies including: E2Exchange, Star Capital, SarTeleMed and InList. Mr. Firer supports the initiatives of the charitable family fund focused on helping families and children in need. In addition Mr. Firer serves on various committees of Electronic Transaction Association (ETA), the leading trade association for the payments industry, representing over 500 companies worldwide involved in electronic transaction processing products and services.

Over the last 17 years at Grenada Investment Development Corporation (“GIDC”), Mr. Theodore’s career has spanned the roles of Investment Promotion Officer, Investment Promotion Manager and Vice President. He has had responsibility for developing strategies to attract and facilitate foreign direct investment (FDI) as well as advocate on behalf of investors to improve Grenada’s competitiveness.

Ambassador of Russia to Guyana, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago and St. Vincent & the Grenadines

Born in 1959.

In 1981 graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University).

Оn diplomatic service since 1981, Mr. Kurmaz worked in Russian diplomatic missions in Benin, India and Germany.

2009-2017 – Deputy Director, Department of European Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From December 2017 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Georgetown, Guyana, South America. Speaks English, French and German. Married.

Ms. Maher posses general Management background in the service industry for 25 years, from Languages to Tourism to Telecommunications with a successful track record in an international environment. Studied in Ireland, trained in Germany and worked in several Caribbean markets. Completed a MBA specializing in Finance with Alliance Manchester Business School. With 15 years’ experience in Mobile Technology, I have honed excellent judgement and prioritization skills, learnt the ability to create and sustain urgency and have a passion for business, technology and delivering a world-class customer experience. I co-founded a technology startup based in New Orleans, USA to create a platform to connect explorers with locals for real, authentic experiences. I now lead the Grenada Tourism Authority and market and sell the destination worldwide.

Boxing Champion, Roy Jones Jr. Boxing

Roy Jones Jr. is an American boxer. As a professional he has captured numerous championships in the Middleweight, Super middleweight, Light heavyweight and Heavyweight divisions. He is the only boxer in history to start his career as a junior middleweight, and go on to win a heavyweight title. Jones left his mark in boxing history when he won the WBA heavyweight title, becoming the first former middleweight champion to win a Heavyweight title in 106 years. He is also noted for holding the WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO, NABF, WBF, and IBA light heavyweight championships; a record seven belts at the same time. Jones is considered by many to be one of the best boxers of all time, pound for pound, and left his mark in the sport's history when he won the WBA heavyweight title in 2003, becoming the first former middleweight champion to win a heavyweight title in 106 years. Prior to that, in 1999, he became the undisputed light heavyweight champion by unifying the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles. During his prime, Jones was known for possessing exceptional hand speed, athleticism, movement and reflexes. As of February 2018, Jones holds the record for the most wins in unified light heavyweight title bouts in boxing history, at twelve. The Ring magazine named Jones the Fighter of the Year in 1994, and the World Boxing Hall of Fame named him the Fighter of the Year for 2003. He is also a three-time winner of the Best Boxer ESPY Award (1996, 2000, and 2003). The Boxing Writers Association of America named him as the Fighter of the Decade for the 1990s.
